Acrylic pouring combines the complexity of science and the beauty of art. It involves large quantities of paint mixed with acrylic polymers, and is carefully measured and mixed to create the perfect recipe. Each paint pigment has a different density, and therefore each paint color pushes and pulls against each other when they collide on the canvas. This causes the various reactions you see, such as cells, lacing, and blending. My primary tools to manipulate the paint is a blow dryer and my hands; not a brush like in traditional painting.
